They distribute the shoes but the jobs to make the shoes are outsourced. There are a few companies left. We hope you will look at their websites and try a pair. If there's no American business, there are no American jobs.

American made women's shoes are made in Georgia by Capps Shoes. They do Oxfords and pumps with craftsmanship and quality leathers.

You can buy Munro shoes at Nordstrom and other fine stores. The American made collection features high style, fine workmanship and supple leathers. Unfortunately there are no leather companies left in the US that make the kind of leather Munro chooses to use for their shoes so all of their leathers come from some other country. They do get some of their out soles from the US, and do their best to source domestically whenever possible, though that is getting more difficult as is happening for a consumer to buy products made in the US.

Munro shoes does great looking leather and fabric shoes for day wear and evening. They have slip-on and ties for wearing with skirts or slacks, perfect for the office, and comfortable. For evening they do a tapered toe for classic elegance in a formal black fabric. And for casual wear they have two styles, the Trek and Venture. The stores that carry them are not widespread but if you look at their dealer locater and give your zip code you might find a dealer near you. good luck.They give factory tours in their San Antonio plant and you're invted to stop by. When the factory burned in 1998, they built another General Store with a complete line of SAS shoes and handbags. Gradually, a kitchen, a candy store and an ice cream parlor were added along with displays of vintage cars and early farm equipment When an early 1900’s barn was added it included a small factory where visitors could watch skilled shoemakers at their craft. The SAS Factory and General Store have become regular stops for tour buses from all over the country.
