STOP BUYING JUNK- And then we come to quality. How dumb, stupid, and passive are the housewives, or house husbands of America? Positively the worst quality around is to be found in this category, household, of foreign made products that we keep buying and buying and throwing out. It's a crime against the environment. Some are so badly made that you are forced to continually throw them out and replace them. However, you cannot find good quality replacements, just more of the same low quality short lived junk.
Examples of this low quality are to be found in cleaning supplies in any supermarket: dish washing cloths which after one or two days usage and laundering look so stained that you want to toss them out. Bleach works one time and then its no use. The washing up brushes and baby bottle brushes are much the same.
Now add the turkey baster or roast baster. You cannot get the rubber bulb back on after you remove it for washing. Piece of junk sold in most supermarkets.

Instead of buying the junk dish washing cloths and brushes, use cotton undershirts that are wearing out. Cut them up and use them for dish cloths and dusting. Stop buying junk and killing the environment. Manufacturing the junk uses raw materials and energy. Throwing out the junk creates trash. If you know how to sew, use terry cloth towels that are wearing out and make them into pot holders. Start a NO MORE JUNK group in your neighborhood, one morning a week. Rubbermaid item made in the USA that we found was a plastic "stack
and nest" ice cube tray.
ZIPLOC makes storage bowls suitable also for the microwave.
Just in time for Thanksgaiving and Christmas food preparation, we
found two styles of ovenware from Hefty. Both can be used in the
freezer and both are single use The synthetic style is usable at
temperatures up to 425' and can be used in the microwave
as well. A wide variety of styles and shapes is available and some
come with covers. The Hefty American made foil pans come in all
sizes and shapes.

TIPS; Energy- Whenever you use anything, you are using the earth's resoures. The more of your own energy you use, the less of the earth's resoures you use. You already know to walk, bicycle, car pool it, and use tote bags insead of the plastic bags for your groceries. How about using a dish to cover a bowl instead of plastic cling film? How about stirring or beating cakes, frosting, bread, instead of using the mixer? How about not buying junk? Be angry and refuse the foreign junk dish cloths, dish washing brushes, pot holders, dust cloths that floods the super market shelves. Here's what to do. Don't throw away used cotton knit clothing. Make dishcloths and cleaning clothes from them. Don't throw away worn terry towels. Make pot holders from them. Cleaning tips: Instead of using costly cleaners to do your glass shower door, buy an Ettore squeegee, a small one, 6 inch and after every shower, squeegee the door.
