The junkier, the shorter the life of the product, the richer they get because you need to buy replacements. Replacing uses raw materials, energy to transport and manufacture, emissions into the air. And yes, preparing food yourself instead of buying the prepared meals in the shops does benfit the earth and help to keep it green for your children and grandchildren: Less energy used in preparation, less packaging used, less transportation costs, less fuel energy for the transportation, making the roads, the vehicles or ships. Why make the ship owners rich? Put the money in your own pocket for schooling or clothing or charity for people less fortunate.
And it's healthier, no additives and ingredients you don't know about. You control the sugar, the salt, the carbs, the fats. Try it. The make aheads on the recipe page are basic. Make the day before and warm up, tightly covered in a 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes. It's not exactly windows for dummies but almost. Try.

WARNING: In our continual search for American made products, we find the following misleading words or images making you think the products on the website are made in the USA but which in fact are not: lots of red white and blue, stars and stripes, etc.; the words made in the USA; slogans telling you that buying American is good for American jobs. Sadly, when you investigate carefully you find that the claims are not true. So if you are really trying to buy American Made Products, look very carefully.
