The Best Label - MADE in the USA

Food Events
The events listed here center around food and offer information and demonstrations: garlic and how it is used, cranberries for use in pies, preserves, the healthful effects of blueberries, lobster feasts, potato in all the various recipes as well as races, corn, used in crafts. Occasionally we also list a food festival that also features wine but in general you will find alcoholic listings in our wine and beer events calendar. Please be sure to have a look at family events which can also provide memorable experiences for a family to share. And here are snippets of information for you about some of these foods:
GARLIC: originated in Asia, known since Biblical times, thought to help with maintaining proper cholesterol levels. To rid the hands of the scent or of garlic, try lemon juice.
CRANBERRIES: Healthful and low in calories, there are only 44 calories in a cupful of cranberries. The whole fresh fruits freeze easily and can be used throughout the year for muffins, juice, and preserves. Thought to help in preventing urinary tract infections.
BLUEBERRIES: A cup of blueberries has 90 calories and supplies fiber, iron, potassium and vitamins A and C. The are great eaten raw and make easy desserts. Avoid buying blueberries in a box that is stained and look for signs of damage and mold. For destroying free radicals, blueberries are considered the best choice.
