Enriching our lives, we present this selected list of American festivals with all kinds of themes, the Branson Christmas feztival in the Ozarks, gospel and bluegrass festivals (and then find Rick Heller American made flutes on our education page.) Maine is proud of its blueberry and lobster festivals and several Maine companies offer high quality frozen lobster, found on our food page along with an elegant lobster recipee. Boat enthusiasts can consider the wooden boat festival and then find beautifully crafted American made boats on our sports page. Sadly, inflatables, such as the rubber ducks do not seem to be made in the USA but there are wonderful American made toys to be had, carefully made and carefully finished, some hand crafted on our toy pages. Needless to say, at the crafts fairs, you will find American made hand crafted toys. And don't forget the fairs featuring animals, such as the Festival of the Horse where you can see magnificent example of horse breeds from around the world. The events commemorate current and historical features of the American scene. One unique historically interesting place which celebrated the corn harvests of 1850's is the Corn Palace in Mitchell,South Dakota. The latest version was built in 1921. It features 350.000 ears of corn cut in half and nailed to the exterior siding. Local residents call the Corn Palace the world's biggest bird feeder. For more information see America's Heartland. And if you do visit Mitchell and want to enjoy a nice regional beer, be sure to look at the regional breweries we've found for you.
