11. How is American Made Yes different from the others claiming to be the best guides to American Made Products, listed on Google, Yahoo, MSN. A. First we should talk about appearance. Most of them have an abundance of red, white and blue, with fluttering American Flags.
Most of them, at the bottom of their home page, have a page for affiliate programs. Affiliate programs vary in their procedures but they are usually programs that enables a search engine to earn money when the listing produces a sale.
Either directly or indirectly, these other web sites are selling products that produce income for them, which obviously limits their listings. It's a list that is paid advertising and does not include companies who do not pay either directly or indirectly for the listing.
Occasionally, according to people who write to us, these other websites contain products which are not made in the USA. We have had this same experience, ourselves, in the purchase of various products, such as an expensive dog grooming tool, listed as made in American but after purchase by us, was clearly stamped on the handle itself as made in China. We have no objection to a product made in China, only to the claim that it was made in the USA.
When you enter our site, it is as though you are walking into a vast shopping mall that displays only American Made Products in the shop windows. You can walk in and buy or just window shop.
